The camp is mentored by American Distance Project coach Scott Simmons whose most recent cross country successes include domination at the 2017 US Cross Country Championships with ADP/WCAP athletes sweeping the top four spots in addition to 9th, 10th, 15th and 16th-places . The performance put five athletes on Team USA for the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, with Sam Chelanga finishing 11th to lead Team USA to 5th in the team standings.

Simmons’ cross country coaching philosophy has resulted in success at all levels, including 2015 Nike NXN National Champion Katie Rainsberger, as well as five back-to-back NAIA college cross country team national champions.  Simmons coached ADP athletes to a 1-4 sweep of the 2017 US Cross Country Championships putting five men on Team USA for the IAAF World Championships.

Simmons coached athletes are known for being ready when it counts, as six have won individual US cross country titles and over 35 have qualified for US national cross country teams.

The online ADP Coaches Camp will be an intensive two-day one-on-one coach mentoring experience designed to educate coaches in the training theories of ADP coach Scott Simmons and to produce a realistic team-specific actionable training plan for a high school or college coach’s team.

Two separate two-hour presentations will be staged via GoToMeeting.com from 10am Mountain Standard Time to Noon on both Wednesday and Thursday, with one individual one-on-one mentoring meeting held in the afternoon on Wednesday and two (if needed) on Thursday, scheduled at the coach's convenience.

Each coach will be assigned the homework of developing a season plan and will be personally mentored in the designing of a training program specific for their athletes with a focus on progression and championship cross country season success.

Over the last two years, over 30 coaches have benefitted from the ADP Coaches Camp reporting exceptional team and indidual successes, including state titles, NCAA championships and Team USA qualifiers.

What Coaches From the 2016 ADP Summer Cross County Coaches Camp have to say:

" I feel that this was the most prepared I've ever been going into a season. The kids repeatedly said that they loved the structure of this seasons practices and it was easy for me to adjust as needed.

The best news is that (my top athlete's) workout's were perfect. All in all (he) PR'd with a 15:39.. and ended up easily winning the state meet by 25 seconds!"

"I'm very pleased and thankful for how my men's team has developed this season... everyone has set personal lifetime bests and injuries have been minimal with a switch to two a day runs. I THANK YOU for your mentoring and wisdom!"

"Our meets overall have been good. As we progressed both teams came on strong with our men's team racing fantastic and our  women's team racing fantastic. Really for the women, it has been a steady build all season."
